ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Just 61 days remain until the November election and a little over a month until the deadline for Ohio voters to be registered.
The Allen County Board of Elections is urging voters to check their registration or update their registration information by the October 7th deadline.

We talked to the board of elections to inform voters on how they can be registered to cast their ballot on November 5th.

"There's a couple of different ways to register. You can register in person by coming into our office. You can get the form online; you can also register online at voteohio.gov," said Morgan Bode, director of the Allen County Board of Elections.
Bode also spoke about voters who wish to mail in their ballot and what steps to take.
If you would like to check your voter registration status, you can visit voteohio.gov.
"If you want a ballot in the mail, you do have to fill out an application. The secretary of state has just sent out applications to all registered voters. A lot of people have already received those, and we've already gotten some of them back. If you do not want a ballot through the mail and you want to vote in person, you do not have to fill out the form," added Bode.
