LIMA, OH (WLIO) - They have provided a decade of resources and services to Lima residents to fill the "gap" that many see in health care.
The 10th annual Bridging the Gap Health and Wellness Expo will be on Saturday, April 13th, at Lima Senior High School. The event has been able to increase education, resources, and awareness of healthcare among the underserved. This year will focus on the family, highlighting resources available for infants to seniors. There will also be a number of demos, health screenings, door prizes, and more.
"Learn about healthy eating. All the things that really impact families. Other agencies are going to be there to help with insurance needs if they have an insurance need. If there's medical needs we've got somebody there to talk to about that. It's going to be a lot of fun. Games, face painting—we're going to do a lot of different things," said Cheryl Nagy, Bridging the Gap facilitator.
The event is free and open to the public. The West Ohio Food Bank will also be on hand with a food box distribution. Again, it is Saturday, April 13th, at Lima Senior High School at 1 Spartan Way, Lima, OH 45801, from 10 a.m. to noon.
