City of Lima fully equipped with enough salt for remainder of season

Despite the warmer temperatures we've seen this week, there is still the possibility of more winter weather coming our way.

Warner Roach, the Deputy Director of Public Works, says the City of Lima is fully equipped with enough salt for the rest of the season, even with some earlier issues.

"For awhile it got pretty hairy. We ended up borrowing salt from the county. They've been a tremendous help to us and we appreciate it. A constituent over there told me you will not run out of salt. You know they weren't just supplying it to me, they were helping a lot of folks, as we do," said Roach.

Roach says the shortage in salt was caused by a much harsher winter than last year, and multiple small storms creating icy road conditions.
