The City of Lima chose LCC for their 2019 Arbor Day tree plantings. Two sycamore trees were planted on the north lawn of the school, with a little help from the students on the finishing touches. This is the first year Arbor Day trees have been planted at the school and the students and staff are excited to gain a physical representation of their appreciation for the world around them.

"It shows that we respect the creation that God gave us," said LCC senior Will Garlock, 18. Garlock helped install plaques and spread mulch around the base of the trees. "Our school, we're a faith-based community and God created the world so we have to keep the world up to the right that he created."

The City of Lima chooses a different school to plant trees at, each year.
