A program designed to enhance the natural infrastructure in the City of Lima is entering its second year.
The city's Stormwater Department is once again offering a tree rebate to city residents. A rebate of 50% will be given if you meet certain requirements when planting. The program has grown with options including the possibility to make arrangements with schools, churches, and other organizations in the city to donate trees for their landscapes.
"We now have sixty-nine trees versus last year's ten trees, we are also allowing plantings within the public right of way and public property as long as the location is approved prior to planting," commented Lima Stormwater Manager, Joe Gearing.
