Allen County Health Commissioner Brandon Fischer explains, “We’re keeping an eye out on the new variant of omicron that goes by BA.2 from the genetic sequencing. It’s been spreading globally at a more infectious rate than the original omicron that came out. Don’t believe it’s more severe but we’re keeping our eye out to see if there’s any additional bumps in cases.”

The health department has the booster shots available Monday and Fridays from 9 am to 11:15 am and 1 pm to 3:30 pm.
