De Graff teenager in custody after his mother is fatally stabbed

A Logan County woman was found stabbed to death, her teenage son admits to killing her.

The Bellefontaine Examiner says 36-year-old Crystal Caudill was stabbed in her home in De Graff and then went next door to a neighbor with serious injuries. Caudill was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Hours later, law enforcement arrested her 16-year-old son Brycen Caudill after he gave himself up. Brycen is a student at Riverside School and the school district went on lockdown while they searched for him.

The Sheriff's Office says there was no fight or argument leading up to the incident. It's also unclear if the 16-year-old suffered from any mental health issues. The suspect will be held at a juvenile detention center.
