Close to 30 organizations were represented at the Arnold C. Deinstberger Foundation's check donation at the Delphos Club on Tuesday(12/10/19).
The Allen County Dare program, Delphos Senior Citizens Inc., and the Delphos Community Christmas Project Inc. were just three of 27 organizations that received a part of the $320,000 donation. The Delphos Senior Citizens Inc., which received $15,000, plans to use the money toward transportation, new lawnmowers, and its Outreach program.
“We’re extremely grateful,” said Alice Curth, the Delphos Senior Citizens Inc. Exe. Dir. “Their donation is always very generous and it really helps us do all the things that we try to do for the community.”
As for Delphos Community Christmas Project Inc., they plan to spend their $15,000 of funding towards providing more food, clothes, and toys to over 300 needy children in the local school district.
“It takes a lot of money,” said Edna Fischer, the Delphos Community Christmas Project Inc. chairperson. “So this money will go for the kids this year so that our goal is so every child in Delphos has a good Christmas.”
The foundation has made this donation possible by using its interest from several of its investments. The president says this donation is important because it helps organizations fulfill goals and commitments they have to better the community.
“It’s great to have someone like the foundation, Deinstberger Foundation, that can put such a nice, a large amount of funds back into these charities.”
