Don Diglia to Retire From Elida Schools

After 35 years in education, the Superintendent of Elida Local Schools is calling it a career.

Don Diglia announced he plans to retire at the end of the school year at tonight's board of education meeting.

He has spent almost his entire career with the Elida School District where he was a middle school and high school teacher. He was also the dean and principle of the high school and most recently the superintendent.

He says he is proud of his accomplishments with building renovations and the academic success of the students.

Diglia says he can't believe how fast the time has gone by. He doesn't currently have plans for his retirement except to spend time with his family.
