With the official announcement of the "Make a Splash" campaign last week, the endowment fund for the aquatic park has grown 4% to 4.2 million dollars of a 5-million dollar goal. The City of Lima is asking anyone who has donated to join them on Friday, December 20th, for a beam signing. "It's just amazing that we can do this as a community. And everybody is involved with this. So everybody can donate. Like the mayor said, a dollar or a million dollars, every donation counts," said Robin Frazier, executive director of the Lima Community Foundation.
The pool is scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend 2025.
The beam signing will take place at noon on Friday, December 20, 2024, with a few comments. You can sign the beam anytime between noon and 1 p.m. that afternoon. The pool is scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend 2025.
