A head-on collision in Auglaize County sent two to the hospital early Monday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that the crash happened at 5:06 this morning on U.S. 33 just south of New Hampshire near Goshen Road. Drivers, 50-year-old Troy Dempster of Huntsville and 54-year-old Charlette Plapp of Waynesfield, both suffered severe injuries and were life-flighted to Grant Medical Center and Mercy Health-St. Rita's. The post reports that Dempster was driving northbound and went left of center striking head-on Plapp who was southbound. The crash remains under investigation.
