A Dunkirk man was killed in a house fire Saturday morning.
The Hardin County Sheriff's Office says the owner of the house, 44-year-old Gregory Spearman, died in the blaze. No one else was inside at the time of the fire. Firefighters rushed out to 221 North Buckeye Street in Dunkirk around 8:30 Saturday morning after receiving a 9-1-1 call. The entire back of the house was on fire. That's where Spearman's body was found.
Fire departments from Forest, Kenton, Ada, and Arlington also helped fight the blaze. The Hardin County Arson Investigation Team is looking into the cause of the fire.
