An Elida man is heading back to prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
According to the Ohio Attorney General's Office, 40-year-old Aron Lichtenberger was sentenced to 17 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts, including pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material. The Federal Bureau of Investigation found more than 5,000 images and videos involving young children. His case was tried in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court.
In 2002, Lichtenberger was convicted of sexually abusing a child and was already labeled a tier 2 sex offender. The case was prosecuted by the attorney general's office as part of their Crimes Against Children Initiative.
