HARDIN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Much of Hardin County is in the dark today following a fire.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, a large fire erupted at an electric substation just south of Kenton.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, a large fire erupted at an electric substation just south of Kenton, with the City of Kenton announcing in a Facebook post that all Kenton residents would go without power starting at about 9:20 a.m. Friday morning. The sheriff's office states that power may be out for an extended length of time, and black smoke may be visible even if there is not an active fire. Due to the power outage, Kenton City Schools and Ridgemont Local Schools were dismissed early at noon.
