ST. MARYS, OHIO (WLIO) - The fall temperatures were fitting this weekend at Grand Lake Saint Marys, as the campground held its annual Fall Festival.
Many people came out to enjoy different free activities with naturalists and puppet shows and also shop at one of the 80 different vendors they had around the campground. People were selling all types of food, crafts, and decorations for the fall. The festival has been around for a long time, and organizers are glad to see the public come out and enjoy the park while helping it.

“Because anything that we generate money wise this weekend, all goes right back into the park for park improvements. Our VIP Association is actually a volunteer group that puts this on. And we have helped construct shelter houses and nature centers. It’s really important that people see what all the park has available. We have a beautiful lake here, and our maintenance staff takes wonderful care of the place,” says Pat Rohler, Grand Lake St. Marys VIP Association.
The Fall Festival is open from 9 am to 3 pm on Sunday. Organizers say they will start the planning for next year’s festival as soon as this year wraps up.
