The former Amvets building at High and Union was brought down in the past week, now the city is about to bring down another large structure only blocks away.
The Greto Corporation building, which sits vacant at Union and Wayne streets will be demolished in the coming days.
The building was donated by owner Richard Toth who wasn't using it any longer and the donation gets it off his books.
Because the property sits adjacent to two city-owned structures, the city thought it was a worthwhile piece of property to have.
Bids have been opened and awarded for the demolition project.
The low bidder was Ben's Construction at 113-thousand dollars.
No exact date has been set to start the project but Deputy Lima Utilities Director Mike Caprella suspects it will be soon.
