PIQUA, Ohio (WLIO) — The first game of a Division VII district final doubleheader featured the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers taking on the Jackson Center Tigers.

Early on, both teams traded baskets in the opening quarter.

After a turnover, Lehman Catholic pushed the ball in transition. Christian Olding delivered a wraparound pass to Shane Frantz, who finished at the rim for two points.

Jackson Center answered on the other end. Brendan Serr fed the ball down low to Anderson Fark, and the junior converted inside for the Tigers.

In the second quarter, Jackson Center briefly grabbed the lead. With the Tigers trailing by one, Preston Serr knocked down a mid-range jumper to put Jackson Center ahead 19-18.

But the second half belonged to Lehman Catholic.

Christian Olding knocked down a three-pointer from beyond the arc as the Cavaliers began to pull ahead and take control of the game.

Lehman Catholic went on to defeat Jackson Center 60-37, sending the Cavaliers to the regional tournament for the first time in 45 years.
