Support for Vince Koza continues as he battles kidney cancer. The sports radio personality and former "Your News Now" sports anchor is currently receiving treatment in Columbus.
The Lima City Schools are showing their support by dedicating its October 11th homecoming football game to him. Donations will be collected at the gates on Friday. They're also selling "Fight with Koza" t-shirts for $15. The press box at Spartan Stadium will also be renamed the Vince Koza Press Box for the remainder of the football season.
"He's been, not only an advocate for Lima Senior athletics, but he's been an advocate for, you know, athletics in general here in the Lima area, so any chance that we have to return everything that he has given us, we're going to take that opportunity," explained John Zell, Lima Senior Athletic Director.
Shirts will go on sale on Tuesday, October 8th and can be purchased at the Lima Senior Athletic Office.
