The Easter Bunny dropped off a whole bunch of eggs at the Lima Convalescent Home for their first-ever Easter Egg Hunt. The kids and grandkids of residents and staff were divided into different age groups to hunt for the hundreds of eggs. Besides finding all the candy that they could carry, the kids also got the chance to find one of three golden eggs to get a 50 dollars gift certificate to Walmart. The event not only was fun for the kids but for the residents who loved watching all the action.
“Easter is just a great holiday and such a great celebration. It’s such a great time to bring everybody together and just celebrate and see the joy on the kids' faces as they get to see the Easter Bunny and get to hunt for the eggs is always exciting,” Jessica Trinko, Ex. Dir. Lima Convalescent Home.
Trinko says they are hoping to bring the Easter Egg Hunt back next year for the residents and the staff to enjoy.
