LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Lima councilman is trying to help promote the growth of new and existing small businesses.
Derry Glenn is bringing in community and economic development experts from Central State University's extension office. They will be meeting with people to talk about the proper steps that business owners need to take to help them succeed.
"I am hoping to see a lot of small businesses, they really really want to work with small business workforce. Show them in what direction they need to go, some of the dynamics they need to make," says Derry Glenn, Lima Sixth Ward councilman. "Also, we are trying to work with youth. Working with them in how they can start their own business. But it's a win-win situation for us bringing in Central State University."
Representatives from the extension office will be meeting with people in sessions at 2 and 3 p.m. at the Wingate Hotel located at 175 W Market St, Lima, OH 45801.
