LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A second alarm was called for an apartment fire on Lima's north side last night. The Lima Fire Department responded to 800 North Elizabeth Street just before 11 p.m. Thursday.
Heavy smoke was showing on arrival and a line was laid to apartment 117. American Township was called for mutual aid. The scene was cleared just after 1 a.m.
The fire is under investigation and the cause is not yet known. There were no injuries and the damage is estimated at just under $30,000. The second alarm was called to have additional firefighters on stand-by at the station.
