Lima firefighters were called out early Thursday morning to what's being called a suspicious house fire on the city's south side.
Fire crews rushed out to 1308 East 4th Street just before 4 a.m. and spotted smoke coming from the roof. They put out the flames on the second floor which had burned into the attic. A damage estimate was set at $6,000. There was no electric to the home which officials believe was vacant. It's owned by Tiffany Miller who lives a block away. There were no injuries and firefighters spent about an hour and a half on the scene.
The fire is being called suspicious and an investigation is underway into the cause.
