Lima Memorial Health System's Medicine Medical Director has been recognized for his work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Monzer Saad has received the Excellence in Leadership Rookie of the Year award from SCP Health.
The award was given to Saad for his leadership during the pandemic, as well as for other issues that came up during the past year. The Lima Memorial doctor says that is happy that his peers nominated him for the award, but wants to also recognize the efforts of the entire team at the hospital.
"The work that we have all commutatively done throughout the COVID period, I feel like every one of them, including the nurses, the pharmacists, the case managers, the administrators, you know who all volunteered to get down on the floor to help patients, all of them deserve a similar award," said Dr. Saad.
Dr. Saad received the award during a medical leadership conference in Florida this past May.
