March 20, 2024 Press Release from Lima City Schools: Lima Senior DECA’s Joy Project will host a Bingo and Silent Disco from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Lima Senior. The event is a celebration of World Down Syndrome Day.
The JOY Project will run bingo with prizes donated from the Allen Co Board of Developmental Disabilities. There will be snacks and drinks provided by Lima Senior’s Culinary Arts Program.
After Bingo, LSH Audio Engineering students will provide a Silent disco experience in the gym.
Several guests who receive services from the Board of DD will be in attendance. The event is also open to the community.
The Joy Project is an extension of one that began several years ago as a way to raise awareness of Down Syndrome. It has since evolved to include all disabilities.
