Lima Senior High students presented a recital Wednesday evening for an upcoming event.
Music students presented the Coffee House Recital on the Lima Senior stage in solo performances that allowed family to come and record them. They will then take part in the Ohio Music Education Association’s District 3 Solo and Ensemble Contest on Saturday at the school. There will be 26 other schools attending, where students will be rated and given advice on how to improve as a musician.
Amy Phillips, Director of Choral Music at Lima Senior High said, “I’m really excited that they get the opportunity to do this. Last year it was only virtual and so to be able to come back and do it in person again is always great. The opportunity to perform in person is always our preference over recorded event.”
Only parents of students in the competition will be able to attend the event on Saturday.
