Lincolnview Local Schools welcomes public to new community center

The new Lincolnview Community Center offers a little bit of something for everyone.

Lincolnview Local Schools welcomed the public to the 35,000 square foot facility they say is unlike any other in Northwest Ohio. The space is fully equipped with a four-lane track and batting cages, as well as three basketball courts and two volleyball courts. The center also features pickleball courts and a pole vault area.

The project cost $4.5 million to build but anyone in the community is welcome to use the space for just $25 a year because the point of the new facility is less about making money and more about bringing the community together.

"We're not here to make money per say," says Superintendent Jeff Snyder. "We're here to give back to the community who's supported this district through taxes and just many different ways and so we thought, what a way to give back to them and really bring our community closer together.

The building is available now to the community from 5 am until midnight every day of the week. There is also a classroom and a meeting room available for public use.
