LOGAN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A Lakeview man has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity for shooting at officers during a standoff on August.
Tolliver will go for a mental evaluation because of the insanity plea.
57-year-old Holley Tolliver Jr. made that plea on the 39 charges he was indicted on, including 16 counts each of attempted murder and felonious assault. Tolliver will go for a mental evaluation because of the insanity plea.
According to Logan County law enforcement, on August 14th, Logan County deputies were called to Big Bear Path for reports of gunfire hitting a house. They determined that the shots came from Tolliver's home. He refused to open the door. Neighbors were evacuated, and additional law enforcement were called in. Tolliver continued to fire his gun. The Marysville Special Response Team tried to enter with flash grenades, but Tolliver fired at them.

After hours of talking, law enforcement started to return fire, hitting Tolliver. He was taken into custody and treated for his injuries. He is currently being held on a one million dollar bond in the Logan County Jail.
