A Mansfield man was sentenced to 17 years in prison for a 2024 stabbing incident. 30-year-old Rocky Hayner pleaded guilty to the charges of aggravated burglary and felonious assault in Allen County Common Pleas Court.
A 25-year-old man gets 30 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to murdering a Lima woman over a year ago. Daniel Wood pleaded guilty to aggravated murder last week in Allen County Common Pleas Court. Wood was indicted on four other charges, but they were dropped because of his plea.

A Lima 19-year-old has pleaded guilty to charges involving the shooting death of a 14-year-old girl in February of this year. 19-year-old Malik Dennis pleaded guilty to an amended charge of involuntary manslaughter and shooting a gun into a house, causing the death of Lauralye Sterling. Dennis was originally charged with murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence, but those charges were dropped as part of a plea deal. His lawyers and prosecutors have also agreed to a sentence of a minimum of 25 years and a maximum of 30 and a half years.

A Delphos man is waiting to see how much prison time he will be getting after pleading guilty to having sexual contact with a small child. 42-year-old Seth Waggamon pleaded guilty to a first-degree felony charge of rape in Van Wert Common Pleas Court. He will be sentenced on the charge in November. He was indicted on two counts of rape and four counts of gross sexual imposition. But the rest of those charges have been dropped with the guilty plea.
A Lima man accused of forcing his way into a home in 2022 and assaulting its residents will be representing himself in his trial. 34-year-old Leroy "Knowledge" Page asked not to have public defenders represent him in the trial set for February and any court proceedings prior to trial. He pleaded not guilty to 8 counts that included felonious assault, kidnapping, failure to comply, and weapons charges.
A Lakeview man has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity for shooting at officers during a standoff in August 2024. 57-year-old Holley Tolliver Junior made that plea on the 39 charges he was indicted on, including 16 counts each of attempted murder and felonious assault. Tolliver will go for a mental evaluation because of the insanity plea. According to Logan County law enforcement, on August 14th, Logan County deputies were called to Big Bear Path for reports of gunfire hitting a house. They determined that the shots came from Tolliver's home.

Tracy Murnane was sentenced today to 60 days in jail and three years of probation. His sentence also includes a $5,000 fine.
