LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A new creative mental health practice is opening in Lima.
Located on the third floor of the Central District Building in Lima is the counseling, creativity, and compassionate care center. The private practice is run by Megan Bowsher who focuses on expressive ways to treat complex trauma and ADHD. Along with the sessions are community workshops centered on nervous system regulation and self-esteem support through art. Bowsher mentions why this unique type of mental health practice is important.
"I very much have like a mind, body, spirit approach, and from the other places that I've just kind of witnessed in our community, that sort of whole person focus was lacking. And, I'm really passionate about that and was passionate to bring that here," says Megan Bowsher, Owner and Clinician of Counseling, Creativity, Compassionate Care.
