Statewide, the Ohio Department of Transportation is investing $2.5 billion into this years 936 projects.
Work will ramp up in the coming days on the third and final phase of the I-75 reconstruction project in Allen County. Â The project goes from just south of Fourth Street to the Auglaize County line. Â
The bridges on Breese Road, McClain Road and Hanthorn Road will be replaced and Ohio 65 at I 75 will be rebuilt.
Work on phase two of the project, from State Route 81 to Fourth Street continues. Â That should wrap up by fall of 2015. Â However, the contractor is trying to finish by this fall to earn financial incentives. Â
Officials say while closures will be a hassle, they will ensure Ohio can remain competitive economically. Â
