Newly enrolled students prepared for their first fall semester at Ohio Northern Friday afternoon.
Friday was the last orientation session that the university is holding this summer, with about 165 families visiting the campus with new students in tow. Those new students registered for fall classes heard from student staff members and even attended a special session to help ease nerves about having to meet all new people once the semester starts.
"One of the things that all the new students are nervous about - they're excited, but they're kind of like deer in headlights, because they're worried about how to connect and meet new people, so we have someone that comes in and works with them and does some team building and some bonding exercises that helps them to really feel comfortable and they feel like they've made new friends already," said Dr. Adriane Bradshaw, Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students for Ohio Northern.
Around 700 new students will be attending Ohio Northern in the fall.
