An Ohio State University Lima employee is chosen from thousands of employees as a winner of the Distinguished Staff Award.
Bryan Albright's coworkers surprised him with the news that he was one of 12 people chosen for the honor. Albright joined OSU Lima in 2006 and currently works as Associate Director of Enrollment Services.
The University's Dean nominated him based on his devotion to serving their mission, his students, and the community.
The award honors twelve individuals for their outstanding achievements, service, leadership, and dedication to The Ohio State University, according to a press release.Â
Albright receives a $1,500 cash award, a $700 base salary increase, and a crystal trophy. "I did not expect this, with all the thousands of employees for The Ohio State University to be selected for this honor, we have a great group of coworkers on this campus, and I try to surround myself with good people," said Albright, "We have great people here at Ohio State, there's so many others that are deserving of this award, and I'm very privileged and honored to be nominated for this award."
Albright will also be honored at a luncheon in Columbus next Friday, May 6th and on the field at an Ohio State football game in September. Â
