OTTAWA, OH (WLIO) - The Putnam and Henry County Right to Life groups came together to give their perspective on Issue 1.
The Truth and Light Town Hall in Ottawa Wednesday evening had a wide array of guest speakers and informational materials available about the upcoming constitutional amendment that deals with abortion and other reproductive decisions in the state of Ohio. The goal of the meeting was to explain why they are opposed to the ballot issue and help others spread the word about why they believe Ohio should vote no, and their concerns about the topic on a national scale.
"A lot of the money that is pushing this is coming from out of state. Ohio is the only state right now putting this up, so if it passes, in a lot of states, it's going to go there," explained Ann Warnecke, the president of Putnam County Right to Life.
Issue 1 will appear on the ballot in the general election held on Tuesday, November 8th.
