LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Lima City Schools is looking to fill more than two dozen positions and is inviting prospective employees to attend an upcoming hiring event where applicants could receive job offers on the spot.

District officials say they are hiring for a variety of positions across the school system, including teachers, paraprofessionals, maintenance workers, bus drivers and other support staff roles.

Superintendent Andre Rudolph said the district designed the event to make the hiring process as convenient as possible by bringing all necessary resources together in one location.

“We wanted to make a one-stop shop. People will come here. They haven't applied yet. They can apply in person. They can go through our background check process here on site. They will meet with hiring managers. Each of our building principals will be here. And they can get a job offer on the spot,” Rudolph said.

Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to meet with district representatives, learn more about available positions and complete online applications during the event.

The hiring event will take place Tuesday, June 23, from noon to 5 p.m. at South Science and Technology Magnet School.

Those interested in applying before the event or learning more about current openings can visit the Lima City Schools website, select the Human Resources section and follow the available links.
