Miller City baseball stays unbeaten with 10-1 win over Columbus Grove

COLUMBUS GROVE, Ohio - Miller City remained unbeaten in ACME play Tuesday, defeating previously undefeated Columbus Grove 10-1 in a matchup of Putnam County powers.
The Wildcats struck first in the opening inning when Jacob Pester launched a solo home run over the left-field fence for a 1-0 lead. Pester helped extend the advantage in the third, reaching on an error that allowed another run to score and made it 2-0.
Columbus Grove starter Gage Sautter kept the Bulldogs within striking distance early, striking out the side in the second inning. He finished with six strikeouts over four innings of work.
Miller City continued to add on in the fifth when Landon Inkrott opened the inning with a triple to center field before Bryson Niese drove him home with an RBI single. The Wildcats pulled away from there, handing Columbus Grove its first loss of the summer with the 10-1 victory.
