Putting for the Lake

People were putting all around the lake at the Lake Improvement Association's Bar Stool Open.

This is the 16th year that the event has taken place, and it is considered the biggest fundraiser for the Lake Improvement Association.  Groups went from bar to bar around Grand Lake St Marys and played a hole of mini golf before moving on.  Pontoon and T-shirt judging were also a part of the day.

The Bar Stool Open is a chance to have fun for a good cause.

"This is a time to come down and have some fun and enjoy what we have down here as a resource.  We get people here from all over the state; we've had people from Columbus, and they can come down and see what we have.  They can enjoy the day, and not only that, they can help us do what we do and that's to promote this lake," said Tim Lovett, president of the Lake Improvement Association.

A prize party for the open was scheduled on Sunday, August 14th.
