The area has seen a lot of historic schools go by way of the wrecking ball in the past decade, the most recent, Elida High School.
Unlike many of the other schools, where the only thing left are memories and some bricks, Elida alum, John Ondo, now of Columbus, has produced a 60 minute documentary on the nearly 100 year old demolished building and gives a peek at the new building as it was under construction.
The documentary includes interviews with graduates, and a chance for Elida graduates, through film, to walk the halls of the old building one more time. Ondo has been getting positive feedback on the film. You can see clips of the film at http://elidamemories.com/.
They will be on sale at home football games and at the Elida administrative offices. The project is being used as a fundraiser for Elida's scholarship fund.
