LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The Lima Rotary Club is presenting a dozen scholarships to deserving non-traditional students, supporting adults who are returning to school to advance their careers or pursue degrees in fields they enjoy.

Rotary members said they understand that life can sometimes get in the way, and awarding these scholarships to individuals looking to better their lives through additional education is the right thing to do. Many of the recipients are pursuing programs right here in Allen County.

I got into welding, and I'm a robotic welder now, but I wanted to learn more, so I ended up pushing to go back to school to learn everything,” Cherry said.

Ifeanyichukwu Amigbogu is concluding the registered nursing program at Rhodes State College. “I'm in the clinical part right now, first-year clinical,” Amigbogu said.
