WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) — Another defendant in the 2022 murder of Timothy Hovanec in rural Auglaize County has entered a guilty plea in the case.
Anthony Theodorou, 37, has pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of conspiracy to commit aggravated murder, a felony of the second degree. The original charge of complicity to aggravated murder will be dropped after he serves his sentence.
No sentencing date has been set in his case.
Authorities say Theodorou was in a relationship with Amanda Hovanec and helped her obtain the drug she used to kill Timothy at the home of Amanda’s mother, Anita Green.
Investigators say Theodorou also attempted to hide evidence from the murder and helped bury the body.
Green is also facing a complicity to aggravated murder charge. Her pretrial has been pushed back to April.
