Local kids and families had the chance to take their sleds out for a ride this morning.
After a dry winter, many took advantage of the snow accumulation and hit the slopes of Lima at Faurot Park. Children had smiles on their faces as they sled down the snow hills.
Local resident, Sara Bowsher says she likes to bring her family to Faurot Park whenever she can. "We were all sitting at home this morning trying to figure what we were going to do and we got a call from a friend that said let's go sledding. So we made some hot chocolate and got in the car and here we are sledding for the day."
Bowsher says she will not be sledding, but her kids will definitely enjoy the snow day.
