ST. MARYS, OH (WLIO) - With many kids having today off from school, sledding was on tap, and the City of St. Marys is making sure that all kids can get in on the fun.
A resident talked to Mayor Joe Hurlburt about creating a "Sledding Library" at K.C. Geiger Park. They saw one done in another state. He liked the idea, and community and council members have been working over the last couple of weeks on raising money to purchase sleds and build a box to hold them. Like any other library, you take out a sled, and when you are done with the fun, return it for others to use. The mayor is hoping that the kids take advantage of the sledding library this weekend before warmer temperatures move in next week.
