VANDALIA, OH (WLIO) - Ohio law enforcement agencies are struggling to find people to fill their ranks, but the state has developed a website that is hoping to help.

Besides the recruitment website, Ohio has recently launched a campaign to encourage people to look at a career in law enforcement.
LawEnforcementJobs.ohio.gov is powered by technology that is used on the OhioMeansJobs website to connect police departments, sheriff's offices, and other agencies with potential candidates for free. Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted says the website will give job seekers a recruitment edge the more they use the resource, as well as save them time and money.

"If you have 900 law enforcement agencies using this tool, that means that anytime someone graduates with a peace officer certification from a career center or a community college, or perhaps is moving and wants to look for a job somewhere else, or maybe they want to come to Ohio from some other place. This is a resource where they can find available jobs in the law enforcement community around the state, right in one location," says Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, (R) Ohio.
