ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The State of Ohio has completed the triennial update of real property in Allen County.

The other is general fund amounts that vary with your property home value. With the update complete, residents can go online and look up what their property value is set at for potentially the next three years.

"So the next step, the State of Ohio will get back with us with our tax rates, and we will go ahead and input those through the auditor's office and start to calculate taxes. Hopefully by next week, if not then the week after. And then the treasurer takes over and gets tax bills prepared and sent out in the mail," explained Rachael Gilroy, Allen County Auditor.

Gilroy wants taxpayers to understand and realize that the county auditor and treasurer have nothing to do with the amount of your taxes.
