Thick black smoke billowed over Lima earlier this evening, as a city home goes up in flames.Â
Firefighters were called to 915 North Jameson, just before 8 p.m. Wednesday night, and arrived to find the structure completely engulfed in flames. No one was believed to be inside the home, at the time. A second alarm was called as crews worked to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby homes. Smoke from the fire could be seen for several blocks, with flames clearly visible from the Jameson overpass.
The home appears to be a total loss. Fire investigators are searching for a cause.
