UPDATE: A 17-year-old male was shot on Lima's northside Thursday night

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A teenager was shot in the leg Thursday night and the Allen Sheriff’s Office is looking for information to catch the person who did it. According to the sheriff’s officials right around 11 p.m. Thursday night, a deputy was sitting at Northland Plaza when he was alerted to a shooting that happened in the 1700 block of Lucille Drive. A 17-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound in the right leg. The injury was not life-threatening and he was taken to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s for treatment. Detectives are asking if you have any information about the shooting, you are asked to call the Sheriff’s Detective Nick Burke at 419-993-1420 or Allen County Crime Stoppers at 419-229-STOP (7867).

On Thursday, September 28, 2023 at approximately 11pm, an Allen County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was sitting stationary in the parking lot of Northland Plaza was alerted of a shooting that occurred in the 1700 block of Lucille Drive.  It was learned that a 17 year old male was shot in the right leg. He was transported by EMS to St. Rita’s Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury. 

This incident is being investigated by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau, anybody who may have information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Nick Burke at 419-993-1420 or Allen County Crime Stoppers at 419-227-7867.
