VAN WERT, Ohio (WLIO) – One man was seriously injured and another arrested in a stabbing incident in Van Wert early Saturday morning.
Robert Burns of Van Wert was arrested on a charge of felonious assault and is being held in the Van Wert County Corrections Facility. Van Wert police say they were called to the 300 block of South Wayne Street, where they found a male victim with stab wounds. Officers began performing first aid until EMS arrived and transported the victim to OhioHealth. He was later flown to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for further treatment. Burns is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on the charge Monday.
