The Wapakoneta Police Department is investigating a possible explosive device at a business in southeast Wapak.
Wapak Police Department was called to Miller's Textile Services at 520 Commerce Dr just before 4:30 pm on a complaint of a possible explosive device on the premises. Officers evacuated the building and had a quick check of the property while they waited for the Allen County Bomb Squad to arrive.
"After the building was evacuated, a cursory check was made of the building," says Lt. Shannon Place with the Wapakoneta P.D. "At this time we're waiting for the Allen County Bomb Squad to respond to do a more in-depth check of the building to see if there's anything inside of the building that's of need for emergent."
