This evening Wapakoneta City Council held an informational meeting for the community to voice their opinion on a possible construction project.
Council is concerned with the safety and traffic flow of the intersection of State Route 501 and 198. There have been over 12 accidents at the intersection in the last year and a half -making it one of the most dangerous intersections in the city. Council held the informational meeting and outlined the traffic engineers proposed solution to get the community's response. many of the attendees disagreed with the traffic engineers plan.
Council is holding a Streets Analysis Committee Meeting Wednesday August 17th, to discuss the subject further and whether or not to vote on an application for a safety grant.
