The school district presented Chief Nathan Motter with a handcrafted wooden "Back the Blue" flag that was made in the school's shop class. Not only is Motter the chief for the village of Waynesfield, but he is the school's resource officer and an alumnus of Waynesfield-Goshen Schools. He really enjoys partnering with the school and developing relationships with the students that will create positive interactions long into the future.

"Really creating that bond between law enforcement and the community is really important, it's an integral part helping our profession as the kids get older and they can see that they can trust us and really put forth a positive interaction with the men and woman in blue," said Nathan Motter, Village of Waynesfield police chief.

The presentation was made during the 4 and 5th-grade honor roll recognitions.
