The results are in for the winners of the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce awards.
The winners were announced Wednesday evening at the chamber's annual gala, held at the UNOH Event Center. Awards were given out in six different categories, including Small Business of the Year, Young Leader of the Year, and the ATHENA Award.
Those with the chamber say that highlighting different small businesses and individuals within the community at the gala is a big part of what the chamber is all about.
"It’s really important for us to really celebrate our small businesses, because that’s what we’re made of, we're made up of a community of small businesses that are all supporting one another," said Natasha Kaufman who is the Director of Programs for the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce. "To me, it’s such an honor to be nominated by your peers for an award that they think highly enough of you and your business to put you in the same category as all of these other businesses and all of these other business owners."
This year's winners include:
Young Leader of the Year - Amanda Garlock
Emerging Business of the Year - Coffé Amor
Woman Owned Business of the Year - Beauty By Jill
Non-Profit Agency of the year - West Ohio Community Action Partners
